The Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the eastern part of the high ranges of the southern Western Ghats of Kerala at Devikulam taluk of Idukki district.

The sanctuary plays a vital role in preserving the delicate ecosystems of the Western Ghats. It also contributes significantly to the overall ecological balance in the region.

Research and Study

Chinnar provides an ideal environment for researchers and scientists to study and understand various species, their behavior, and their habitats. Furthermore, this research is invaluable for conservation efforts.
