 Banasura Sagar Dam

It is located in southwestern Wayanad, about 21 kilometers from Kalpetta, Kerala, India, amidst the Western Ghats’ lush hills. India’s largest earthen dam and the second-largest in Asia, constructed across the Karamanathodu River, a Kabini River tributary, using massive stones and boulders. Thirunelli Temple

The temple has some historical and cultural significance, and it is believed to have been constructed by Chera king Kulasekharan, a prominent figure in the region’s history.

One of the remarkable features of the Thirunelli Vishnu Temple is its stone aqueduct. This aqueduct serves the crucial purpose of ensuring uninterrupted water supply to the temple from the nearby forests. The water channels are supported by intricately carved pillars. Additionally, the temple is famous for its Mural art.   Indeed, the temple is a place of great aesthetic appeal. Pakshipathalam

It is one of the finest trekking destinations in the country. It offers a unique opportunity to hike through dense evergreen forests, which serve as a sanctuary for some of the rarest bird species.

Meenmutty  Falls

Meenmutty Falls is a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. It’s a serene and picturesque spot. The trek to the falls can be adventurous, and the view of water cascading down is mesmerizing. Meenmutty Falls offers a captivating blend of natural beauty and adventure.
