Munnar Hill station is a major tourist destination.  This hill station has a stunning natural landscape, including mountains, forests, and waterfalls. Pothenmedu view point

Pothamedu Viewpoint, in Munnar, is truly captivating. The area is covered with tea, coffee, and spice plantations. You can take a scenic hike to the viewpoint, offering breathtaking vistas. It’s a favorite picnic spot for locals and a photography haven.  The land is like a quilt of green hills with tea, coffee, cardamom, and pepper farms on them, making a lush, colorful pattern.

The best time to visit

Winter, spring, or early summer for the best views.

Hiking, trekking.

Photo point

Most of the places in  Munnar look great in photos, but the  Photo Point stands out for its extraordinary beauty.  It’s just 3 kilometers from the main market in this hill station and is a top choice for photographers. It gives magnificent views of the Tea Gardens.

The best time to visit:

In the morning and evening throughout the year.

Things to do:

Photography, visiting tea gardens.

Echo Point

Echo Point in Munnar is a pretty place by a calm lake where you can see beautiful hills and forests. It’s great for boating and making your voice bounce back (echo). People love to have picnics and explore tea gardens here. This tourist spot is known for the special Neelakurinji flowers that bloom once in 12 years.

Things to do:

You can go trekking, take a leisurely walk, or enjoy a boat ride here.

The best time to visit:

From March to May in the summer and from September to February in the winter.
