Thattekkadu Bird Sanctuary

The Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, situated in Ernakulam district is a well-known tourist destination for bird enthusiasts and nature lovers. Famous Ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali described it as the richest bird habitat in India. It is also recognized as Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Thattekkadu is the first bird sanctuary in Kerala.
