Pavakka (Bitter Gourd):

Known for its health benefits, this vegetable helps regulate blood sugar levels and boosts immunity.
Planting: Plant Pavakka seeds 1-2 inches deep in well-drained soil, with adequate spacing of 2-3 feet between plants.
Caring: Water consistently, especially during dry spells, and ensure they get at least 6-8 hours of sunlight each day.

Mathan (Pumpkin):

A versatile vegetable loaded with fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins, ideal for savory and sweet dishes.

Soil Preparation for Healthy Plants:

Start by sterilizing your garden soil under the sun for two days to remove pests and pathogens. Mix equal parts of garden soil, coco peat, vermicompost, and cow dung for a rich, nutrient-packed base. Add neem cake (10%) as an organic insecticide, followed by lime chuna or powdered eggshells for calcium and ash for potassium to keep the soil loose.

To maintain soil health, apply a 2-4 inch layer of mulch (like cocoa shells or dried leaves) to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and improve fertility. This soil mix ensures thriving plants all year round.

Caring for Vegetables :

Pseudomonas Solution:

Liquid: Dissolve 5 ml in 1 liter of water and spray directly.
Powder: Mix 20 grams in 1 liter of water, strain, and spray. Store the liquid in a cool place and check expiry.

Neem Oil (Veppenna):
Mix 20 ml of Neem oil in 1 liter of lukewarm water, add garlic paste and liquid soap, strain, and spray. For a stronger solution, mix with Kanthari chili paste.
