Hello friends, this time I am back with a lovely outdoor video which was shot at some flower farms near Bangalore. Actually I was thinking, what to do specially for this Onam. When I thought about Onam Pookkalam, I got this idea of flower farms. I have heard that flowers for pookkalam decorations are coming from Karnataka to Kerala and other southern states. But I hadn’t seen any such gardens here. I asked a few of my friends about this and one of them suggested Malur village which is in Kolar district. I was really curious to see the flower gardens over there. And I thought of showing you these marigold flower farms from which we get flowers for Onam and other festivals.
I was so happy seeing the marigold fields in the beautiful village of Malur. It was the harvesting time, so laborers were plucking flowers in the morning. The weather was chill and the place was so beautiful to see. I could see a rose garden also nearby. White colour marigold farms also were there. I have included all the visuals in my video. Even though it was not the time of mango season, the vast mango tree gardens also cherished us.
I prepared Onam sadya from home and took it along with us. So we could have it with the farmers in the field. It was really a wonderful experience to have the Onam sadya on the farm. They liked our Kerala style Onam sadya and payasam. We spent there till evening and enjoyed it a lot. So our Onam was very special this year. Hope you all celebrated Onam well. Thanks for watching my video 🙂
