Sowing

When planting zinnias in containers, ensure a depth of at least 10 inches, and avoid overcrowding by planting only one per container. Larger containers yield more blooms, but they dry out faster. Their small, flat seeds should be sown close to the soil surface, germinating in 3-10+ days indoors. For direct sowing, cover the seeds with 1/4″ of sifted soil in well-prepared soil.

Sow these seeds at night temperatures of 25-30°C, and once grown, expect flowers with a 12-13 cm diameter on plants reaching 45 cm in height. Perfect for beds or pots, the recommended sowing distance is 40 cm from plant to plant, and the preferred method is through seedlings.
