Interlocking Bricks – Building Construction simplified
Building construction is expensive and labor intensive, and from time to time many attempts are made to make such things simple and inexpensive. To overcome the Obstacles and difficulties during construction, different techniques of construction are being adopted. For that materials and methods adopted are also being executed to enhance the quality of construction and to minimize the time and cost. Interlocking bricks is one such big leap in the construction industry.
Interlocking bricks are a modified version of the traditional bricks. In this block various methods are applied to enhance the hardships and issues encountered during construction. And to enhance the quality of construction materials and equipment used are fabricated accordingly. With out the use of mortar each brick is designed such a way to lock itself to the other bricks. This self locking is achieved using lock mechanism. Shape of lock is vary in each design and an inverse lock is provided on the opposite side of brick.
Interlocking bricks are compressed and stabilized earth bricks which contributes to strength of the structure.
Benefits of interlocking bricks:
Cost effective
There is no use of mortar in the construction process, use of cement, sand, mortar and stone dust can be neglected. Also the cost for transportation can also be reduced along with the cost on labour, plasterwork can be neglected, lesser cement and fewer labourers etc. will reduce the overall cost of the construction project.
Time Efficiency
In the conventional bricks has to be set for about 21 days whereas the self-locking bricks require only 7 days of setting. In addition to that, time required for setting and curing of the structure can be diminished completely. The project can be completed faster by eliminating all the time consuming tasks.
Provides cooler interior
Interlocking bricks are less heat intensive, they provides a much cooler interior. High compacted bricks have higher density, which in turn converts itself into high thermal mass.So the walls made of high compacted bricks typically furnish warm interiors. This enables lesser use of air conditioners or fans resulting in minimalized energy consumption.
Only require less labours
In conventional brick, skilled labour is required for various operations. An unskilled labour may find it difficult to learn the conventional methods of construction. Hence construction by interlocking bricks can be done by unskilled labour to easily follow up on the construction procedure.
Durable and low maintenance
Interlocking bricks are an effective resistant to earthquake. The locking pattern of the blocks enables the seismic forces to move across the whole structure. During earthquakes conventional bricks are not fully transfer the seismic loads throughout the structure since the only medium of load transfer is the mortar
Available in Customized size and designs
There are different types of Interlocking Bricks
- Concrete Interlocking Blocks: A high strength block with heavy load bearing capacity blocks manufactured with a mixture of crusher dust, Cement, baby metal and water compressed in a dual hydraulic technology.
- Soil Interlocking Blocks: Soil interlocking bricks are made of cement, sand and Stone dust mixed together in specific proportions.
The Interlocking compressed bricks are environment friendly materials and using most modern building technologies. Build an Unbreakable Relationship with Interlocking Bricks of Toughie.
