How to grow
The seeds are black in color. Keep the beans seeds in water for 6 hours. Then drain the water, keep the seeds vessel for 6 hours again to make sprouts. We can use paper glasses or trays for sowing. Put some coco peat and cow dung powder in the glass and place the yard bean sprout in it. After fifteen days it will be ready for transplanting.
Preparation of soil is the first step for growing a crop. We should make the soil ready for planting before15 days of transplanting the seedling. For this first we have to loosen the soil. At that time add some bone meal, cow dung powder and limestone powder (kummayam) and mix well. Water the soil every day. Adding manure to the soil increase the fertility of the soil. It will help in faster crop development. After 15 days place the sprout 0.5 inch deep in the soil. Watering should be done twice a day. We can turn our kitchen waste to compost and it will be a good fertilizer. It is better to apply organic compost once in a week. We can also use “Jeevamrut”, a good natural fertilizer which boosts the plant growth, increase the soil fertility and production of the crop.
When it stars growing provide plant support and allow it to climb up. Then use net or rope to make facilities for plant growth. It will take 40-45 days for flowering. Cut 10 percent leaves from the plant and spray pseudomonas mixed with water (5 gm. per 1ltr) every week for more flowering. You can also use Fish amino acid, an organic liquid fertilizer for plant growth and spray directly to leaves.
