A small clinic started at Edarikkode in 1923 by Poozhikkal Kunjahammed Musliyar who was a well known physician in Edarikkode and surrounding villages. He was not only a physician but also a social worker who started 4 primary schools. After his demise his sons Dr. Poozhikkal Ibrahim Haji and Dr. Poozhikkal Hussain took the charges respectively. Both of them worked as Medical Officer in Government service.
