Kerala State Lotteries is a lottery system run by the Government of Kerala. It is started in 1967, under the lottery department of the Government of Kerala, it is the first of its kind in India. The revenue from sale of lotteries is a major source of non-tax revenue for the state, at the same time providing a stable income source for the poor and the common people. The department is under Directorate located at Vikas Bhavan at Thiruvananthapuram, , it has more than 500 employees. 14 District Offices and a Regional Deputy Directorate at Ernakulam.<\/p>\n

Things to remember for Lottery winners before claim result<\/p>\n

Damage to a ticket with multiple security features can prevent a claim. Therefore the ticket should be kept safe. Recipients of prizes below Rs.5000 \/ – should approach any lottery shop in Kerala with a ticket for a cash prize. If the prize is over Rs 5,000, you have to come to any bank or government lottery office with a ticket and proof of identity.<\/p>\n

Verify the winning numbers with the results published in the Kerala Government Gazette and submit the winning tickets within 30 days. The winner should carry the DI-card along with passport-sized photographs.<\/p>\n
